Case of hardened steel machining - CBN coated tool turning for sun wheels


Most gears are made of alloy steel and therefore milling will be a key challenge when processing gears without heat treatment and tempering in automatic lines. When gears are processed according to machining after heat treatment and tempering, it is important to choose a hard cutting CNC tool to solve the EDM process and reduce machining costs.
